Ford S. Elliott
Ford Elliott is a 15-year veteran real estate developer and brokerage professional. Ford, as founder and CEO of the Blackstream Companies in 2014 has grown Blackstream from a team of 2 in Greenville, SC to a team of over 120 brokers and employees in the Carolinas. The Blackstream Companies consist of SVN I Blackstream commercial real estate; Blackstream Christies residential real estate and Blackstream Development. Prior to forming Blackstream, Ford served as Vice President of Boyett Properties where he was in charge of management, leasing and development of the Boyett Properties’ portfolio of industrial, flex and retail properties. In addition to his extensive real estate background, Ford studied Construction Management at Clemson University and holds his general contractor’s license. Under his leadership, SVN I Blackstream has achieved awards from SVN as a top 7 firm in 2018 and a top 5 firm in 2019. Blackstream Christies, as a mere 2-year-old startup, was awarded Affiliate of Year in 2018 by Christie’s International Real Estate.
Ford, along with Josh Howard, formed Blackstream Development, a boutique real estate development firm focused on Housing and Hospitality, in 2018 to bring together and build a team of experienced leaders in management, legal, finance and real estate. The team brings to Blackstream Development an array of experience in office, retail, light industrial, flex, restaurant and multifamily. Currently, Blackstream Development has over $120,000,000 in projects in active development.
Josh Howard is a veteran attorney with 19 years of experience counseling southeast regional businesses and developers, including Blackstream. In 2018, Josh joined the leadership team of the Blackstream companies. Josh serves as the COO and General Counsel of the Blackstream companies, which are SVN I Blackstream commercial real estate; Blackstream Christies residential real estate and Blackstream Development. As Blackstream Development, Ford Elliott, as founder, and Josh have assembled a team of experienced leaders in management, legal, finance and real estate that now makes up Blackstream Development. Josh is a 1998 graduate of Clemson University and a magna cum laude 2001 graduate of the University of South Carolina School of Law. Prior to Blackstream, Josh was a Partner of Womble Bond Dickinson, LLP from 2015-2018, a partner with Haynsworth Sinkler Boyd, PA from 2002-2015 and law clerk to the Honorable Henry M. Herlong Jr. of the United States District Court for the District of South Carolina from 2001-2002. In addition to his professional experience, Josh has served in various roles of community leadership through the years and remains very active in the southeast legal and South Carolina business community.
Maxine Turner has 25 Years of experience as a Finance and Accounting Professional. Maxine is an Independent Contractor working with the BlackStream Development Team to manage the Financial Forecasting & Reporting aspects of each Project. Working as an Independent Consultant for the last 6 Years, she assisted clients with Business Modeling, Financial Reporting, Accounting, Due Diligence, Business Sale Transactions, Cash Flow Management, and a variety of other projects. Then, from 2006 to 2014, Maxine was a Managing Director / Sr. Consultant at Clear Thinking Group, LLC. There, she worked with a variety of companies in North America as a Business Turn-Around, Restructuring, and Bankruptcy Consultant focused primarily in the Retail and Wholesale Apparel Markets. Prior to entering the consulting arena, Maxine worked in Industry serving as a Director of Financial Planning & Analysis for an Apparel Retailer, as well as other Finance & Accounting Positions. Maxine graduated from Bob Jones University and is a licensed CPA in South Carolina.
